Entergy Arkansas Sues Sub-Contractors for Death of Employee

The Entergy Arkansas has sued some of its sub-contractors which were involved in an accident at the Arkansas Nuclear One near Russellville, which lead to the death of a worker.

The accident occurred when a 525-ton main turbine generator stator was being replaced at the plant. While performing this operation a crane lifting the stator collapsed and killed a 24 year old worker.

This lawsuit was filed in order to recover damages from the defendant due to a breach of contract, negligence, and gross negligence.

Entergy Arkansas and Entergy Operations Inc. of Jackson, Miss., have sued Bigge Crane and Rigging Company of San Leandro, California; Claus Frederiksen, DP Engineering, John Scroggins, and VEI General Contractors Incorporated.
