Sach Oliver Lectures at University of Arkansas

For the 6th consecutive year, the University of Arkansas School of Law Board of Advocates invited Sach Oliver to lecture students on trial advocacy techniques. The lecture he gave today was part of the kick-off for the annual William H. Sutton Barrister’s Union Trial Competition. Sach spoke on various trial skills he has learned through his experience advocating for clients across Arkansas.

Having competed in the University of Arkansas School of Law’s annual competition himself, Sach stated that he owes a lot of his success as a trial attorney to the fundamentals he learned while competing. While in Law School, Sach won the William H. Sutton Barrister’s Union Trial Competition and eventually went on to represent the law school in the American College of Trial Lawyer’s National Competition. It was there that he made it to the final round and was given the honor of being named Best Oral Advocate.

The law students begin competing next week in the preliminary rounds of the intra-law school competition. The students who place in the top-sixteen of said preliminary rounds are invited to compete in the 5th Annual Oliver Law Firm Closing Argument Competition on Saturday, October 5th. Students competing are eligible for cash prizes as well as the experience of speaking in front of influential members of the Northwest Arkansas’s legal community.
